The wolf is the living image of the power of nature. This animal has a meaning of resistance and physical endurance, it is one of the fastest animals in the forests and is one of the few native mammals that were found in the Americas when the conquistadors arrived. Also, the wolf is representative of the European fauna, and is the predator that is positioned at the top of the chain in the environment of the old continent.

 

Thus, uniting two continents, the wolf is captured in its splendor of the night on the stitches of the Wayuu fabric. This backpack is the heritage of Colombian indigenous cultures that developed iconography of our fauna and flora in their works and crafts.

Le Rouet is an artisan workshop that is directed towards the vision of preserving the legacy of the Colombian indigenous people in their weaving tradition. Through 100% handmade and designed items inspired by pre-Columbian mosaics, as well as the immersion of Wayuu, Muisca and Arahuaco cultures in today's world, Le Rouet offers a cultural and artistic proposal for Latin Americans and foreigners who want to live an immersion in Latin and Colombian culture.

 

Our artisan proposal ranges from traditional backpacks with traditional mosaics or custom designs, to clothing and household items. Being an artisan workshop, most products are made as the client requests. We handle the possibility of making cash payment(one full payment) or by payment plan(initial deposit of 50% and final payment upon completion of the product of the remaining 50%).

 

Among the personalized products, we offer the famous Wayuu backpacks, which can be made according to the client's desire for colors and design. If you have a favorite show or a character or music band that you are passionate about, you can capture it on one of our backpacks!

The industry is taking over the centuries-old traditions of the native peoples of the Americas and the processes lose their value faster.
